Is an 8 year old gelding. He had 2 years off after a hurdle race in 2006. He is trained by John O'Connor and looks life his wife is part owner. He has had a couple of flat races in South Australia recently, where he has come in the back of the field. It looks like they are getting this horse ready for Oakbank.
This horse should not race. He had about 40 weeks off last year in 2 groups. Both of the breaks were after a steeple. The ONLY time this horse ever came first was in a trial, it was a one horse race. This horse is being treated as a filler for the races. ….This is a 9 year old horse. He failed to finish at Ballarat in July 2008 and then had 28 weeks off. He has recently attended two jumps trials, and one flat race, where he came last. He raced in 4 jumps (Victorian) races last year. In his first for 2008 he made a faulty jump, next he failed to finish as he was weakening badly (and the jockey was fined for pulling him up). He had raced in South Australia jumps a number of times in 2008. This horse looks problematic
Spelled since the 14/05/2008 (37 weeks) after 2 steeple races, his just back. One flat race in Jan of this year. Trialled twice recently.
This horse had a year and a half off after a hurdle race in 2005 (where Golden Fawn was killed). He trialled over steeples in 2007. He is schooling here. It looks like his trainer, Rhonda Mangan, is trying to get his fitness up to race this year. (he was scratched in the first hurdle race of this year).
Lost rider before a 24 week spell. He qualified for hurdles then had one race in which he came 4/5, next race lost rider, spelled 24 weeks. He has raced 2 flat races in the past few weeks: placed 9/10 and 10/10) . This horse is going for a hurdle (must be schooling) and a steeple trial. It obviously cannot jump, thus we should make a fuss about it being allowed to go for a steeple trial.
A 6 year old gelding who is trained by Musgrove (co owned by family member) He has had 38 weeks off after a hurdle race in April, 2008. He has had a couple of flat races this year, each of which he came in the rear of the field. He came 3rd of 6 in the first hurdle race of the year (01/03/2009)
Looks like he qual in july 2008, he is a 5 year old gelding and has trialled 3 times over the past few weeks, he raced in jumps 3 times last year.

Spelled for 26 weeks after his last hurdle run. Done a couple of flat races since. Had 7 jumps races in the 2008 season. April 2008 Rough Night had sustained an injury to the off foreleg which was consistent with having been galloped on during the event. After he stopped had a spell following a race in May 2008, he changed trainers from R Laing to C Maher.
This is a South Australian horse who has jumped in both SA and Victoria. He did two races here last year.
Has had three trials over the jumps this year. Appears to be new to jumps.
The horse should not be racing. Steeples he has always FF, he has run like shit, and had is returning from 47 week. We need to keep an eye on this horse. He has trialled twice recently. It is his first race, flat or jumps, since March, 2008. sewards said "UNION LAD was examined by the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon who reported the gelding to be suffering heat stress." John Nugent took over training this horse from M Web in Feb 2008. He had one jump race in Victoria last season. He has been a jump horse for years. He's 11 years old.
Last jump race was in 2007 where he came last, and was subsequently spelled for 70 weeks. He has had 3 flat races this year but has come in the back of the field. He has trialled recently.
